This wine was a conundrum for me. Slow-ox for two hours and consumed over two days. Very aromatic, almost intoxicating with red fruit and floral notes. Entry showed potential with very drying tannins following on the palate that overwhelmed the flavor profile. Mid palate was somewhat thin leading to a relatively lively, hot finish. I poured out most of the last glass. Not much difference between day one and day two. I noticed the wide difference of CT opinions and lean toward bottle variance in this case.

Nose; Fresh crushed red fruits, figs, dark chocolate, fresh cut oak, marzipan, boysenberry, mulberry, leather, cold steel/iron. Drinking black berries, black tea. (threw away bottle and don't now but must be a blend with cabernet franc and merlot at least) very fruity, fruit forward, good heap of drying tannin,. Nose way more interesting than drinking it. Feeling the heat in the back as the front is drying. Was a gift and probably wouldn't buy it but I'm not a big California Cab drinker.....Somewhere between liking and neutral.

Decanted for 1hr, had wit ribeye. Great crushed red berry coffee nose, with ripe blackberry, current palate that is massive tannins of black tea. Finish that is long and enduring. Great wine that would benefit from two more years in bottle.

Strong Tannins which create a very dry front up taste. Have another bottle will let it rest for another 5 years and see what happens
