Very pale colour. Surprisingly soft/lacking in acidity. Plenty of buffering extract. Pale, steely fruit profile with a hint of coconut. Normally, would think this would benefit from more time but not sure with such low acidity.

Annual Jadot Dinner - this time with Thibault Gagey (Sepia - Chicago): Once again, and coincidentally, side-by-side with the 2000. This bottle opened reduced though enjoyable enough but got better and better with a few hours of air. Still not in a prime drinking window so best to hold for a a couple years. Upside from here.

Surprisingly backward on day 1 - really didn’t give much GC character at all. A day later (evacuated bottle, nothing elsd) it was a lot more open, with a very strong salinity on the nose. Still far from my favorite Corton Charlemagne, but by no means a failure. Maybe it’s just surprisingly slow to mature. Score: 92. Relative to expectations: 0

Jadot (and Clair Dau) Chapelle-Chambertin Dinner with Thibault Gagey (Sepia - Chicago IL): Noticeably reductive to start, that dissipated slowly but never fully let the wine's obvious richness shine. Previous bottles were never so reductive.

I like this vintage (vs. love). Still a relatively taut youngster, but very tasty and with half bottles I likely won't see the mature version.
