Jadot 1997 Dinner: A Jacques Lardière Miracle (RPM Steak - Chicago IL): Served blind at dinner tonight, this was clearly lush and powerful with plenty of ripe apple and baked apple with sweet spice, but so much more acidity and minerality than should fairly be expected from 1997. Most thought this 10+ years younger, and also from Chevalier-Montrachet given its density and gravitas. Exceptional wine tonight.

Corton Charlemagne and Jadot CSJ Dinner (Storefront Company - Chicago IL): From magnum. Lush stone fruit aromas with lots of spice and floral support . Peach and ripe apple flavors with lots of spice on palate. Mouth coating. Much like the 2002 tasted earlier this evening, just more of everything, longer, more powerful.

This is drinking very well at the moment and is completely mature. Although there is enough fruit now, I believe that this might have already passed its peak and should probably be drunk within next few years. Anyway, this is delicious and great for the vintage.
