Made from a mix of 75% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah and 5% Cinsault this quality-domain has made an very good 2016. Young color with still a lot of purple,on the nose and palate a full basket af ripe, crunchy red and black fruits with some garrigue, supple tannins and an amazing acidity for a Southern wine, tingling on the tongue (maybe even a not unpleasant touch of volatile acidity). It has good length and the 14,5% alcohol is barely noticeable. To my taste this wine is ready to drink.

Valentine's Day with Steve & Barbara (Their House): Allowed to sit in the decanter for one hour to let the wine open. A bit more air time would have helped. Mostly dark red fruits like black cherry, with some red cherry and raspberry, along with garrigue, a bit of spice, and an herbal note. The acidity was juicy and balancing, the tannins were (mostly) integrated as was the 14.5% abv. There may be some additional development over the next few years, while this wine will continue to drink well (at least) to the end of this decade.

Limited notes...still solid, needs 1-2 more years to really shine. Rather closed and dark, dry wood, mixed with dark fruit. Dusty tannins but integrated, structured, beautiful dark fruit flavours. Dark chocolate medium finish. Much better with food and air.

PnD let air for 2hrs.
Balanced elegant complex. Love the fruit and garrigue. Drinks beautifully with tons of life a head.
