Perrot Minot Chambertin & Clos de Beze dinner: (A) Some herbaceous notes to the nose along with red fruit and spices. Smooth and tender, with good concentration and a slightly riper fruit profile than the Chambertin.

Tasted at the domaine. Again there is great intensity on the nose with an added floral lift. Huge concentration with a wonderful mineral freshness. Elegant and very fine tannins. Very very long and no dryness on the finish. Super elegant. Everything is here. Will be outstanding and clearly the best wine of the range shown today.

Annual Roi Chambertin tasting: 2016 Gevreys from village to grand cru (Espace Chambertin, Bourgogne): Better than the Chambertin as this has added opulence. Really gorgeous wine. A top candidate among them all. Bravo.
