Great lemon yellow color, pale yellow rim. Refined nose with tropical notes, lightly toasted bread, barley sugars, some lemon and chamomile. Smooth and rich, lemon drops, good acidity, melon and toast, ripe pears, baked apples, cooked bananas, great finish. Excellent Chardonnay, not overly Napa in style - hints of Burgundy. Drinking well now, but has the acidity and fruit to go for a few more years.

Rounding out nicely and losing it’s hard edges. Exceptional concentration with a lengthy finish. Drink 2021-2028. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 93.

first Cali chard in at least a year (other than maybe a test bottle of new Rhys)... on the pop and pour this had a nice, if opulent, palate that was just a touch marred by sweetness / obvious residual sugar... then after about an hour in decanter that sweetness seemed to fade so I'm not sure what was going on... nice wine for the price for sure... a little less tense/bright that I would prefer but good

A wine of exceptional balance, with fruit, oak and acid all in proportion. There’s subtle oak seasoning the ample fruit here. “California” in style but not buttery or overblown, and with enough acidity to keep it lively. Everything about this suggests long life ahead in the cellar.

I always respect these guys for planting chardonnay and riesling instead of ripping it up to plant cab and make more money
lemon peel, yellow apple, toasted nuts, apricot, unsalted butter, toasted oak, peach and spice
Oak integration is nice, slight toast but still points to california. Well balanced
