At t=0: nothing on the nose, palate non-descript. Loosely covered the Bordeaux wine glass. After t=20 minutes minerality-almost petrichor- had concentrated above the deeply dark red juice (thank you, petit Verdot), then poof, gone. Another night, another bottle, a transient floral aroma was captured in first 30 min after opening, so the wine is capable of early development in the glass. After one hour, the nose and mid palate started to say Bordeaux, but after that there was no further development. It fizzled. This is their second wine, and from a mostly cold wet year. There is not much here to justify buying this one over a $20 Bordeaux Superieur from a recent, better year.

PnP from 375. Lighter weight, but showed some of the richness of the grand cru. It was nice by itself and with appetizers but was overpowered by a cheeseburger. 89+

Nice mid-weight St Julian. Had a little herbal and tobacco leaf quality to the nose and palate adding complexity. However, still hollows out a bit on the mid-palate where it lacks concentration and intensity. Seems like a wine to drink now or in the near future. Tannins quite mild for a bdx this young.

I'm upping my score by a point based on this half bottle.
Nice fruit on PnP, still showing its youth, smooth tannin.
