Opened and took a taste to make sure it wasn't corked, seemed a bit closed, I got worried. Let stand for 2 hours. Nice medium purple in the glass. Nose of cherry first and then some earthiness. Really nice mouthfeel, my fears were unfounded. This got better the longer it was opened. I only got a glass and a half, unfortunately. Just a real enjoyable wine, one of my favorite BdM producers.

I'm still holding most of my 16 BdM's, decided to see how Le Potazzine was coming along. Started with a small PnP to taste, expecting to give it 2-4 hours of air, that was not necessary. Classic BdM nose and palate, smooth and velvety, went full pour and enjoyed with smoked ribs. Perhaps better with more bottle time but enjoyable now.
Drank again almost 2 years later. Beautiful development. Dark purple/brown hue, soft nose. Soft first taste, subtle dark fruits, richer earthy cherries, currants followed by soft dry and earthy finish, long linger. Nice drinking wine

Popped the cork and let slow ox for 24 hours+. With more air in each glass, this only improved.
Incredible foundation and structure. This is built like a brickhouse. Which for me, a traditional Brunello lover, a dream house.
Pretty expressive nose of very pretty potpourri. On the palate this is compact and focused. Lively strawberry & tart cherry fruit exude tons of pop and charm. The tannins are very fine grained.
This is a wine to slap down your money early and simply play with house money as the wine evolves and improves for years and years to come.
Dreamy stuff 💘

This opened up on day two and became a goddamn joy to drink. I'd buy again in a heartbeat at 50 to 80 dollars.
