Jersey Boys (Grand Sichuan, Jersey City, NJ): Classic Donnhoff nose - sweet and creamy complex peachy and spicy. Great perfume. Palate is plush and very sweet. Great fruit and spice. Not electric but sneaky acid inthe back they keeps it light. Super creamy and excellent into the finish. Peachy and melon? I’m not a huge Donnhoff fan but for me the verve of 2017 helps make it work. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17/20.

Grand Sichuan, Jersey City edition (Grand Sichuan, Grove St.): Quite the contrast to the Grünhäus that preceded it - whereas that was all crackling electricity and vibrancy, this is a gentler, quieter wine. Beautiful aromatics - riper peach and white cherry mixed with tarter lime and pear fruit, and gentle floral and honeyed accents. The palate is very similar, dominated by the youthful fruit with a mineral undercurrent that becomes more apparent on the back end. Lovely wine, the kind of Auslese that's perfect at the table with food, rather than a botrytis-heavy dessert wine.

Nokså stum på duft. Herlig frisk k munnen med klar, rein frukt uten botrytis.Pære og drue. Snadder! Relativt kort i ettersmaken og ikke veldig kompleks på dette stadiet, men deilig likevel.

Creamy, toasty nose - almost champagne like? Slightly herbaceous, brambly fruit - gooseberries? More minerality and less sweetness than the Oberhauser (which overall I preferred). Some flintiness. Less acidity too but still well balanced.

Frisk duft av urter og noe mineralsk. Frisk i munnen, fremstår ikke heldig søt for en auslese. Honningtoner i ettersmaken.
