Creosote cherries on the nose, takes a while for the creosote to begin to blow off. Cherries upfront, with thin midpalate of robitussin and alcohol on the finish.

Served to four Frenchmen. Offered one thousand Euros if they could guess appellation. They couldn't even guess Rhone varieties. But enjoyed it well enough.

This wine was borderline flawed. The nose had a dominant (and un bearable) rotten flower and tar aroma (stink?). Over acidified and salty. I am incredibly surprised that this was the wine maker's favorite wine of the night. Different strokes for every one I guess.
