  • Really rich, smooth blackberry

  • Really disappointed with this wine. Perhaps this was a flawed bottle, but no one enjoyed this. I got the cherry note but that it and it had the consistency of cherry cough syrup. Just disappointing all the way with no complexity.

  • Really nice wine. I picked up a 3 pack of this in the secondary market a few months back. For this bottle, I opened on Sunday night with a PnP, then pulled back the vacuum again on Thursday night. It was a touch hot on Sunday (to be expected) but by Thursday it had mellowed out and the extra air from a quick decant really helped. Ripe fruit, cassis, black cherry, and a touch of oak (vanilla).

Glad I have a few more of this.

  • Agree with others who've written this is in a great place right now (late 2023). Lots of silky body without tasting overly opulent, sickly sweet, or sullen and thick. Incredibly drinkable. My only reservation with this wine is the price. We bought ours direct from the winery during a visit there. I realize purchasing on a winery visit always entails a bit of a tax. But in this case, we paid too high of a mark-up. (Obviously, that's on us!) At $125 I think is an amazing wine. At $200, there are way better wines. At $75 on auction, this is a steal. In any case, forewarned is forearmed!

  • Been tempted to try these since they first hit my celllar 4+ years ago, and glad I did. Decanted for 2 hours on day 1 and was treated to a classic cab nose and deep, dark fruits on the palate. Tannins definitely get your attention, however they smooth out into day 2, which was a much more balanced experience. I fully expect this will have a long life ahead and glad I have a few more to take part in the journey. Enjoy now with a 2+ hour decant or hold for at least another couple years. Day 2 > Day 1
