Auction bottle, pop and pour. Screw pulled through the bottom half of the cork but that was removed in one piece by putting the screw back in at an angle.
Really showing well in early maturity with great depth of fruit, balance, and length.

This needed about an hour in the decanter to open up and and allow some of the parts to come together, but once it unwound it was beautiful
Nose: Black Cherry, Red Plum and Blackberry Liquor notes give this a perfumed red/black fruit nose with spice, oak, smoke and camphor notes giving support. Palate: Layers of fruit with baking spice, clove, leather, caramels and sage adding complexity to the suave palate feel here. Finish: Very long and persistent with more of the glossy fruit and spice here.
This remains a great wine made in a classic Napa style from a fantastic property in Calistoga. Ripe but never in "cocktail wine" territory, Kelly and Celia really get the heat and ripeness of Calistoga to show off the terroir of Pickett road beautifully. I enjoy these more and more as they age.

Smooth, delicious cabernet. Light integrated tannins. Popped and poured at the wife's birthday dinner and didn't analyze the wine very much. I would have enjoyed tasting this a couple of years ago but think it is drinking really well right now.

Has blossomed into a terrific wine. Long life remains. Will get more complex from here.
