Sb. Separate from the regular Sassella, the NN Sassella Le Tense comes from Sassella subzones of Mine’, Longini, and Cheisa Sassella, which have some of the oldest Sassella vines. Some oak, than bright dried cherry. On initial look I thought this lacked structure, but filled out with an hour of air. I’d recommend a quick decant if enjoying soon. This is really quite lovely tonight with an hour of air.

With mushroom pizza and then with some Thanksgiving sides. Recognizable as Nebbiolo if you know but different from Barolo/Barbaresco. M tannin, M acid, M body. Some floral rosiness (rose hip more than petal), slightly raisinated cherry. I like this okay but less well than Piedmont nebbiolo and I’m not sure it’s worth the price compared to a good Langhe. ~6/10

Gordon's Festa d'Italia (Artists for Humanity Center - Boston MA): Walk around tasting. Good aromatic start implies richness not quite delivered on palate. Good to enjoy over the next few years.

Parfym, lite varit. Vinner med luft men är mest ett doftvin. Saknar kropp.
