  Garnet, pale rim, much of the pigment has been shed. Wonderful smoky nose, like a haze of gunpowder, with raspberry and cherry fruit underneath. Mature on the palate, viscous yet crisp, wild raspberry and toasted aromas. Very fine. Long, lip-smacking finish with great acidity. Wonderful. Purchased at £ 8,99 and I can't believe it has survived, no, make that thrived, during 15 years in my cellar. Fantastic value and quality.
