Lyon Holiday Open House (Where Else?): Youngest red of the night, and potentially polarizing because of the initial C-funk. Once past the barnyard, you get black plum, blackberry, earth/loam, granite, bacon and pepper. Texture is velvety and palate coating. Now-2030.

P&P through an aerator; super funky on the nose, showing lots of The Rocks, minerals, smoked meat, olive tapenade, and seaweed. Fruit hits midpalate with raspberries and tart cherries that move on into the finish along with espresso. No rush to open these...drink now - 2037.

drank this too young, but I don’t think it needs another decade or anything. Nose is much more involved than the palette, which is coming into a good balance of lifting acidity and somewhat mellowed out (but still very intense) classic rocks funk.

- Savory on the noise. Tapenade and cured meats. - So dense and expansive palate. Chewy. Thick without being sweet. - Very long finish with smooth and slightly tight tannins
Hold many more years.

Tart cherry and green olive on the nose. Good acidity, overall impression is very savory, stays with the tart red fruit and olive theme for me. Long finish. Tasting note after it sat in my cellar for 48 hours after opening and having a glass, so no score.
