As Pinot Blanc can be, a bit too reserved for me. Lemon zest, grass, nut. High acidity, yet a slightly waxy mouthfeel. Fool me for Italian P Grigio
Retasted Aug 2022. Sensational aromatic nose now - v floral, w fleshy stonefruit now and spiced edges. Palate lemongrass yet but has ratcheded up the intensity. Awesome

Very faint nose of herbs and citrus. The palate is bright and clean, vibrant green fruit, citrus, and glycerine finish. Very satisfying. I tried the '18 WB from this vintner two weeks ago, which was recently bottled and much more tart, less inviting. This '17, by contrast, is much more accessible, round and welcoming, a pleasure to enjoy with garden salad for dinner.

Like their Rieslings from the last vintages I honestly think that Cornelius Dönnhoff is changing the style a little to a yet more clean and precise appearance. My first Wbg from this vintage proves this, stunning purity, some floral and mineralic hints, fruit more like ripe green apples, good length and mouthfeel, will improve for at least 3- 5+ years, *(*-***), 88, 89+ potencial

A delicious Pinot Blanc, with aromatic green herbs, white flowers and stone fruits, bone-dry but juicy, zippy freshness and mineral intensity, elegant weight (12% ABV), subtle bitters, precise finish with a touch of pear, good length.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #139; Weissburgunder (By MO): In the bouquet pear, some banana and limestone minerals. On the palate white fruits like pear, melon, mild acidity and a good length. Beautiful wine. 88 – 89
