Burgundy tasting chez La Grappe. A very deep colour. Concentrated black cherry and blackberry fruit on the nose. Similar on the palate, which is rich and concentrated. Still very youthful, with noticeable tannin. Very long. Will be excellent in a few years' time.
Christmas day dinner wine. Very very good, not great. Will benefit from a few more years in the cellar, but not many. Pure, vibrant pinot noir. Typical high end Pommard. Lacks a little length to be on the next level.
Closed down pretty hard. But a very impresse wine where everything is turned up to eleven. Massive concentration, primary intense fresh fruit and a laser beam of acid throught it all. Wait at least 10 years (perhaps 20).
