PNP. Dark red color. Dark red fruit with some earth and sawdust on the nose. On the palate this has dark red fruit, great concentration, more earth and forest floor and some espresso than the Auxey 1er tasted the other night. This actually also shows less tannin and more ready to enjoy than that wine. I could serve and drink this wine now for its great fruit and concentration. My guess is it shuts down at some point but really nice to drink now. Meadows "supple and opulent is spot on for me right now. A-/A

A bit deeper. Warm sweet fruit eg blackberries, cassis, cherry. Warm spices and a bit of oak on finish with a touch of earth on finish. Perhaps lacking just a bit of acidity and balance. Still good.

Pommard & Volnay tout en nuances - Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Palais des Congrès - Beaune): Walk around tasting, including 17/18/19 vertical. Identical to yesterday's tasting, so copy-and-paste works. Incredibly rich aromatic start is nearly perfumed and fully engaging. Black cherry and berry with some plum and blood orange. Wine is seamless from start to finish, never seeming too ripe, never too structured. A great performance. This might be approachable as early as 2025.

Opened an hour prior to tasting.
Some ripe almost charming fruit in front of fairly dense tannins.
Quite rich, and desperately needing more time.
