Amane. Courtesy of Grace. Drinkable, but definitely past its sell date - there's some clear madeirization on the palate that's a sign of age rather than any storage issue. Even Pommard doesn't live forever! The nose had some very pleasant tertiary flavors, but this so it goes with older wine.

Was tired at first but then came out to play and showed very nicely. Don’t drink Pommard much but at this age it showed very delicate and sexy, not the usual Pommard muscle. Lovely bottle.

Mid Life Crisis Dinner: What are the chances of 2 same bottles this old! Unfortunately my bottle tasted tired and old. The 2nd bottle was fresh and still sweetness of red fruits left. Beautiful stage with some tannins. Given both are from the same store and probably similar time, the only reason for the difference was bottle variation amplify over time.
