a little unfair; had this after a Littorai Platt Chard, a Louis Latour CC and a 2016 Boillot CC; we all felt it was very good but flat, particularly after the Boillot CC

PR's Basel Birthday Bash: Tasted double blind. This is had an insanely good nose and was very good on the palate. Very inviting, only medium complex but highly precise, light yet creamy, harmonious - overall quite complete. It should gain more aromatic complexity with more age but it is quite open and great to drink today.
TN: Intense matchstick, citrus, pear and crushed rocks aromas on the nose. More intense, less floral, more precise and fresher than the Coche Meursault in the next glass. Same picture on the palate with the same matchstick, citrus, apple, pear, and minerality aromas. A bit less intense and intriguing than on the nose but with high precision, a light feel with the proper amount of creaminess in the texture. Medium length. Overall very harmonious and balanced with a more spectacular nose than palate.
Decanting: Pnp, then decanted and followed over a few hours. Didn’t need much time to open up. No extensive decanting needed.

Tasted blind at restaurant Stucki in Basel. The bottle was opened 24h prior, decanted once and again before serving. Lots of smoke notes, a bit of matchstick, pear and citrus, oak and wood, slightly perfumed and sea salt minerality. Slightly creamy, fresh and crisp, on the palate.
