  I must admit that I enjoyed this one better in its youth. At age 7, it displays a distintive smoky, animalistic and rather rustic nose that also has some prunes and dark, overripe cherries. There's more than a hint of oak than all in all this is not a Burgundy for the faint of heart. That said, it is also somewhat inspirational and provocative at the same time. Quite complex, really. Paired with a thick veal steak it's actually quote becoming.

  Dark red. When sniffing this what strikes me the most is how much this wine has changed throughout the last couple of years. From a redfruited sexbomb to a serious yet somewhat introvert dark and spicy wine. You might say that I have shed its 03 babyfat, but I kind of miss it. This has become a more classical gevrey pinot altough there is still plenty of concentration and oak to go around. I really enjoyed it, but the wife didn't look as satisfied by this as she usually does.

  Dark red. Delicious nose with sweet red fruit, chocolate and vanilla. Easy to drink and seducing right out of the bottle - good integration of fat fruit, oak and acid. It has turned the volume a bit down since I last had it two years ago. Also I find myself looking more for terroir than instant pleasure.

  Excellent bottle of wine. After decanting and a ½ hour in the glas this thing began to open. Elegant and balanced.
