Aromatic with scents of spice and mixed berries, soft, pleasant, hints of black cherry, plum, cola and black tea in the mouth, light to medium with subtle richness, pretty finish, nice value

New World Pinot aromatics. Oak, earth, spices, and a touch of Hawaiian Punch. The flavors are the complete opposite: tart and savory, somewhat astringent, but maybe time will work out the kinks.

N: Some funk (though PRETTY much blows off), "new" leather, some Central Coast char, poss cloves?
P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which only somewhat works itself out by the LONG, VERY slightly tangy finish with a bitter/SWTNESS & a cloves-like spiciness to the firming, dusty tannins. As this DID soften with exposure to air, it may well just need to be opened farther in advance than what I did. Drink now (if giving some air) & through '22. 13.9% ABV; My VG+/EXC-, trending towards the higher, PARTICULARLY if QPR is a focal pt. 91 pts & Gold S.F. Int’l, 90 WE (6/1/19), Double Gold @ ’19 S.F. Chronicle, & Gold @ ’19 CA State Fair. [As of early Apr '20, wine-searcher shows 6 sources @ $19.64 - $27].
