  • A definite let-down after last Thursday's superb Graillot Guiraude '99 and it could be that but for that recent memory I would find more to enjoy. Colour still quite pristine. Nose mainly meat juice sprinkled sour cherry. Medium - bodied palate and rather simplistic showing mainly bright fruit and bright acidity with just a little pepper and backbone. Easy to drink. Quite good.

  • Very primary. Pretty round an voluptuous. Nice blackberry with a bit of bacon and just a hair too little acidity. Kinda sad I popped this one as it probably needs another few years. I'd hold if you have any left.

  • Red and black cherry, blackberry, spice and pepper notes as well as smoked meats. Good structure, light acidity, a bit off balance but still quite good. foodandwineblog.com

  • Excellent Syrah character, but starting to lose its body a bit. Time to drink up.

87 pts
