Color: yellow with warm gold notes Nose: red apple, melon, lemon peel, honey Palate: melon, soft apple, minerality Mouthfeel: flabby, not much structure, short finish
Drank as part of the Vintage Wine Cellars Virtual Tasting #4. Very basic burgundian chard. Nothing special and high QPR at $20. I think there are better options out there.

2017 Cave de Lugny Mâcon-Lugny Chardonnay (Burgundy) Subtly pert nose with trace hints of Asian pear and white peach. The big baggy golden exterior offers little hint of the solid structure beneath, medium weight that builds to a full roundness with a delicious acidic streak. The Billie Eilish of wines that will have you dancing to the beat with Ocean Eyes for ocean food. Enjoy with a bad guy.

NYEve with Steve & Lucie (At our place, then Knickerbocker): PnP, chilled, at restaurant with salads. A medium bodied Macon that punches above its weight. Clear yellow color. Good fruit (apple, pear, melon), juicy acidity, some malo, and a round finish. Should hold for a couple of years.

2017 Cave de Lugny Mâcon-Lugny Les Charmes $13. From a co-op. Sharp, light mid gold; clean Chardonnay nose; mid body, lush, round, ripe, good fruit and buttery finish; some malolactic, no oak. 40-year-old vines. Score 15.5-16 UC Davis, 89 other. Great value!

Un bon rqp de macon encore une fois. Un peu de ressemblance avec Nicolas Maillet macon-verzé, sans toutefois être du même calibre.
