I often find that around six years of age is a sweet spot for good cabernet franc from Loire. The fruit is still generous and youthful, but the wine has started to come into its own and there is wonderful balance. Of course you can cellar it, but it's delicious now.

Superb Cab Franc, just billowing on the nose, and so long and complex through the finish. Blackberry, dark cherry, walnut oil, raw cacao, autumn leaves, cigars, thyme, a little pepper and white flowers. Thick and rich, structured and velvety. The finish is full of typical Cab Franc leafy and herbal nuance, but delectable notes of fresh black fruit, bitter chocolate and delicate spice make a lingering impression. This is showing some development, but it should improve for at least a few more years, and may be worth saving another decade or two.
