Lost Friday afternoon gathering – Jamet, Grange des Peres, Raveneau, Chave, Pignan and etc. (Eddie V's - Tysons Corner, VA): Medium expressive masculine nose displaying ripe black fruit, roasted blackberry, black cherry, a hint of stem, tree bark and earthy mineral. Excellent concentration, packed black fruit, good acidity, strong slightly coarse tannins and a long ripe black fruit driven finish. Really powerful and structured, lacking finesse and a bit straightforward. The tannins reminds me the old school Faiveley but I prefer the pretty red fruit driven nose of Faiveley. Not really sure how this will develop.

Lost Friday Lunch with friends (Eddie V's): Very dark red fruits, velvety texture, elegant but with some intense flavors, a bit tannic still on the backend. Needs 5-10 more years.

Pretty pedestrian.
Some dark fruit, funk on the nose, pretty one dimensional and straightforward. Tannins and structure were there but not overwhelming.
I've had $60 red burg that would absolutely slay this wine.

Muted, nose was off. High tannins, feels like it will never open.

Better than the previous bottle, consistent flavor profile but better intensity and balance.
