Decanted for 3 days, days 1 and 2 quite similar very brambly and fruit forward and was a bit cloying, didn’t notice as much oak influence though I did have an oak bomb just prior to this. Was mildly tannic on day 1. Day 3 it was at its best, still very fruit forward with a mixed berry jam flavor, raspberry maybe being the dominant flavor, had a nice acidity, tannins were completely gone, only thing I didn’t like was the hint of raisins I got on the finish, overall it was good but I think I prefer the Taylor’s, also my wife didn’t like it as much.

Outstanding, best on day three with about 1/2 the bottle remaining. Day one, concentrated hard tannins, cocoa powder, black fruit jams, vanilla, and a bit of heat, not showing much. Day two, much more open knit, fleshing out the fruit, moderate booze, persistent tannic finish. Day three was exactly what I was looking for in a young Port: raspberry compote, black berry jam, with some saltiness, tannins are still definitely present, but much less hard and aggressive. Rich and concentrated with a warm boozy finish. A bit of infanticide to drink now, but worth it to pop to see what you bought. Needs a few decades to really strut, IMO.

Intens duft av mørke bær. Søte plommer og bjørnebær. Rosiner. Sinnsyk konsentrasjon og lengde. Fortsatt vilt godt!

Very rich. A bit soupy as it warmed in the glass.
