This is a deep purple colored wine. The nose is somewhat aromatic. The flavors are plum, dusty blackberry with a bit of herbs. This wine is 60% merlot, 30% cabernet franc, and 10% cabernet sauvignon with 14.5% alcohol. It's an intense wine but the tannins are well integrated. This wine is very drinkable now, and will last for another 25 years. It's a good dollar value based on current Bordeaux prices.

Nose of leather and licorice with a hint of graphite and rich fruit.
Full bodied wine with rounding acidity. Palate of leather, chocolate syrup and blackberry up front with grippy velvety tannins and black cherry with a hint of spice on the middle. Finish of tart blueberry and a hint of cinnamon sugar.

Total Wine Summer VIP Wine Tasting, Greenville, SC (Total Wine, Greenville, SC): 60% merlot, 30% cabernet franc, 10% cabernet sauvignon. The cabernets stand out here initially with the merlot poking through later on. Excellent structure with plenty of room for everything to integrate over the coming years. Give this at least 5 years and drink up to 15+ years out from now.

Savory Grilled meat on the pop and pour. Beautiful complexity, very deep and rich fruit, nice and dark on the palate. Still insanely tannic, we were as fools to drink this so young. Has a ton of depth to last decades, please let this age.

Palate. Dark cherry fruit, tea leaves, cocoa powder, graham cracker. It has a strong tannic structure, but there is a lot of fruit to help balance those tannins. Don't confuse this with a young Paulliac, its definitely Saint Emilion because of the fruit profile. I am hopeful another 3-5 years will flesh out some earthy characteristics.

WTSO special. I have always enjoyed this wine. This vintage is very good.
Color. Inky purple
Nose. Blackberry compote, black tea, grilled meats, sweet plum skins, kirsch.
