Decanted 2 hours in advance. Starting out alluring nose that was surprisingly fresh and youthful. But muted on the palate. After considerable swirling we determined that air helped so we tried a couple round trips through the aerator. And now a completely different wine... Brighter nose with lemon notes, rich nutty palate. Last sip was the best. Will hold the remaining bottle for 4-5 years, then decant 8+ hours in advance.

Montly wine tasting at Clos du Stavanger - bring a bottle May 2012 (Stokkaveien, Stavanger): Tight, clean and very, very precise on the nose. Dominated by green tones and pears, with some burned nuts and minerals. High class! Tight and very fine also in the mouth. Pears and minerals also here. Very concentrated, not very acidic and noticable alcohol. Still a great wine due to its focus and concentration. Had this blind and I was nowhere near placing it at CdP. With a few hours in a decanter it shines even more, with the palate becoming more oily and the nose going in a tropical direction but without losing its clarity and presicion.

Intense nose with delicious fruit some remind of apple, passion fruit, blssom flower and really nice mint and minerals notes on the back. Despite the fact that the nose is really ripen, the mouth has a lot of freshness with vibrant acidity and really god length. I really like the salinity from minerals you have in the after tase. At his top.
