From 375. Wow, this is unexpectedly fine. The nose portends good things, more on the tropical side of S-B, guava, mango, etc. also, lime blossom, honey, and a hint of lanolin. Hits the palate rich and broad, but not in any way unctuous or fat. Instead, there’s a baseline of granitic mineral and racy acid, fine lime/lime blossom, and a hint of ripe pineapple, nothing gooseberry or cat pee or especially tropical. Honey and lanolin provide soft contours to the structure in the mid-palate, fanning out into a very compelling finish. Really, really good. I haven’t had Vatan, but certainly up there with Cotat as the best Sauvignon Blanc I’ve ever had. And at $15 for a half, insanely good value.

A white that is a crowd pleaser and always on hand at my house. My personal favorite as well. Pale yellow, light to medium bodied wine with ripe fruits and dried herbs along with the high acid we love. A very pleasing long finish.

Great pouilly-Fumö, light-yellow color, citrus / green applenotes, crisp, clear and driy with nice acidity, maybe a bit of a too light to medium body..

Exceptionally clean and refreshing. Refreshing acid backbone that makes you salivate! Super fresh, mildly fruit forward and tons of minerals - by no means a bombastic or tropical Sauv Blanc. Really delicious!

Good or great? It's close! It's exceptionally fresh, citrus forward, very crisp with floral qualities and yet, has some body. My overall takeaway is that it tastes clean - clean in flavor, crispness and weight. It doesn't seem muddled on any dimension. Expensive for a sauv blanc, but worth it to open a refreshing bottle that is a quality versus a heavy fruit or tin forward sauv competitor.
