Well here we are almost 10 years since last reviewed. If you've seen some of my notes you might know I've had the opportunity to acquire many older wines with questionable provenance and storage from some estate clearances here locally in the midwest. Many way beyond drinkability but also many that have changed my idea of drinking windows. This obviously was way outside that window but none the less a fun experience and mostly enjoyable. Great cork garnet color with slight bricking at rim. From pnp it was a nice drinking wine with faded red fruits kind of old world wine enjoyed with a chicken and zoodles in red sauce. Really lucky to have the chance to try these wines as even though there not at their best they prove to me that some wines even though they've had questionable storage can withstand the time and provide a unique wine experience.

APPEARANCE: Dark red. Watery around the edges. AROMA: Bright red fruit mixed with white pepper. TASTE: Big, big tannins especially on the back end, but not overpowering. Dark, red fruit. Heavy, full-bodied wine. Still showing great and I don't agree with comments that the wine is past its prime.

Concerned that the wine might be too old. color deep red , good legs, good spicey clove finish.
