This wine is aging gracefully. I wish I had more to lay down for another 5-8 years because I think that is when it will hit its stride. The oak is still present but it you let it open for an hour it quietly takes a backseat to lemon, flowers, tropical fruit and glycerin. Has the structure to really impress in years to come. Beautiful expression of Cali chard.

Quite oxidized. Is this wente clone? Big, rich. Improved greatly after about 2 hrs in glass. Notes of apricot brioche. Very full mouth feel and finish.

I enjoyed this wine even though I am generally not a fan of this much oak. The wine changed its calling card dramatically depending on the food. 1) with an apple, showed its generous acidity, with coconut milk the acidity was down but the viscosity. Put Butternut squash and apple soup with apple chunks, coconut milk and pepper and you taste all the deliciousness of this wine. Has years in front of it.

I love this and it totally defies expectations. Kongsgaard is a spousal favorite but I have often found it a trifle heavy and overbearing. Not this. Pop and pour, beautiful nose with tropical fruit, layered, oaky notes, balanced and surprisingly excellent acidity which keeps things refreshing, brisk and long. Finish goes on and on. Perfect now for me but I could see positive development for another five years. Quite excellent!

Same as previous comments. Had with Salmon with garlic butter and it was a touch too tropical for the salmon.
