Has held up well beyond expectation and has really benefited from it! Taking on added viscosity suffused with classic Pinotage florals that seem to have become more apparent with age. Overall a richer feel than earlier noted bottles. Packed with focussed hedge fruit and mellow tannins. Earth, truffle etc but not in excess. Excellent balance. Very fine example of RSA's own speciality! Sadly my last of this vintage. For drinking soonish.
Fully mature. Smoke, earth, charred oak and truffle in the aroma as well as floral Pinotage character perhaps missing in previous noted bottles. Focussed, pomegranate and wild berry fruit, not over-ripe, giving the wine good grip. Medium bodied and long finish. Excellent. Drink over the next year or two.

Decanted long (no choice) for 3.5 hours. Stunning! Mature red colour with clear edges but merest hint of brick. Aroma of smokey baked red fruits, mature and vegetal with little pinotage "lilly" typicality. Flavour of ripe concentrated charred red berry fruit, hints of age truffle. Grippy earthy spine, touch of green capsicum. Long. Completely unexpected excellence. Will in future decant this wine (which I follow) for 3+ hours to see if similar transformations transpire. Should be good for another 4 years at this level.

Still very good colour and nose. Tastes a bit bland now. Past its best but not old and wooden. A good wine.
