A touch of reduction and spritz. Maybe slightly gentle and flat but actually there's some nice balance. Relatively low acidity (I said relatively) but not flabby. Some notes of green mango, peach, slate, it's pithy and bitter on the finish.

Showed better than last time and a pretty nose of cantaloupe, pineapple, mango, warm spices and a pebble mineral note, similar palate with juicy fruits, integrated bright acidity, and a medium plus finish

2018 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett (AP: 05 20) was elegant, focused and perfumed. The youthful Mosel Riesling was clear and pale lemon in colour. Beautiful aromas of tangerine, lemon candy and honeysuckle jumped out of the glass, accompanied by a whiff of smoke and ginger spices.
The delicate, off-dry and light-bodied mouthfeel was marked by a high level of precise acidity. Pleasant flavours of red apples, pears, honey, white flowers and candied lemon zest persisted in a long, mineral-laced finish. The alcohol level was at 9.5%. The empty bottle weighed 428 grams.
The vineyard of Wehlener Sonnenuhr (sundial) is famed for its deep Devonian bluish grey slate, steep slope and south-west exposition. It is, perhaps, an infanticide to crack the bottle, as the wine of Joh. Jos. Prüm is known for its consistency and longevity.

Bottle flawed? Tasted thin and watery.
