Tasted this at the International Congress of Chinese Cuisine & Wine, Domaine de Chevalier Masterclass at The Tower Club.
A bit of roughness on the palate. All the elements are present: good fruits, structure and fresh acidity. A good wine, though not in the league of great or fantastic wines.

2017 is my new «House wine» and it's already beautiful to drink, although it can probably be stored for 10 years. This is the 2nd wine of Domaine Chevalier which costs about 3 - 4 times more. The good thing about 2nd wines is that they mature faster and are charmingly and ready to drink young, delicate, fruity, complex and with a long fresh aftertaste, sweet dark tannins, blackcurrant and vanilla, tobacco and leather, 89p

Deep ruby colour. Medium (+) and developing nose with red plum, blackberry, cedar, chocolate, leather, tobacco and wet leaves. Pronounced taste of red plum, blackberry, vanilla, cedar, chocolate and tobacco. Long and dry finish. High acidity. High tannins. Medium body. A very good 2nd wine from Pessac-Leognan. Drink now and over the next ten years. Goes well with beef or lamb.

Fantastic middle range wine in terms of dryness and boldness. Maybe try with longer decant? Purchased in Paris.

International Congress of Chinese Cuisine and Wine 2022 Masterclasses (Goodwood Park Hotel, Singapore): Medium ruby. Got a hint of passionfruit on the nose, vegetal. Rather juicy with a medium finish
