Eðalklúbbur, smakk #3 vor 2022 (Hlíðarás 10): Umhellt í 2 tíma. Frekar dökkur litur. Í nefi: Lím, leysiefni, sítrustónar (límóna), brauð og brennd eik. Eftir þyrlun þá komu líka fram: Anís, sedrusviður, rauð epli og lofnarblóm. Í munni: Anís, brennt síróp, epli. Fínt vín en það má líka vera það því það er ekki ódýrt eða um 33€.

Bright purple red. The nose is ripe but structured, with a definite oak character dominating but not overwhelming the red/dark fruits. The Grenache character is stronger on the palate which has a purple lolly type flavor before quite grippy tannins kick in. This held up even if it didn’t necessarily show a lot more over several days, suggesting no rush to drink.

Young, needed some air (and could use at least a year or two in bottle), deep, rich, hot year (?), higher in alcohol than 2016, still well balanced but not as refined at this time as the 2016. Look forward to seeing this in another year - 91+ at this point.

¡Prometedor!

Opulent dark fruits, little oak on the nose, very powerful. needs time to resolve. Pure fruits on the palate, balancing acidity is there...frames the alcohol well
