Typical CdN - elegant, grippy, fruit everywhere, very very Modern, perhaps too much for me? Still trying to decide, but definitely lean Traditional. Nonetheless, obviously world-class wines and look forward to drinking the remaining in about 10 years.

Dark ruby, expected quite some oak but actually it was rather integrated. Fresh plumb, dark cherry on the nose, recognizably casanova style, and on the palate excitingly subtle and delicate. Freshness, as expected, on par for the vintage, medium and little chalky tannins (also classic CdN) and medium + finish. Starting to enter drinking window and very pleasurable. Drank along with thai, of course the spices drowned the wine, but afterwards the wine aroma came out with alot of blueberry which was surpising but really nice. Edit: day two, the wine seems to lose more than expected conplexity. Still good base, pleasing as its style is. Score from 93 to 92.

Light red color - clear enough to read newsprint. On nose, cassis, blackberry, tobacco and other savory notes (tasting notes beginning to go downhill there is more complexity than my poor tasting notes suggested). On palate, similar flavor profile with full body, medium acidity, medium tannins and a very long finish. Guessed Brunello and was finally correct. My 2nd favorite of the 7 and the group's #3.
