  Dark reddish brick in color. Soaring aromatics of ripe reddish black berries, herbs, graphite and soil. Structured palate shows sweet dark cooked berries, spice, medium acidity, firm tannins and a long herbal finish.

  My first experience of a fully mature Brunello and it took me somewhat by surprise. Very intense but also very evolved and I'd echo Mr Rancho's references, with a trace of Oloroso and definitely that Balsamic richness. I'm not really sure where this goes next but I guess I will drink my other bottle in the next year or two.

  Moving to port direction, both on the nose and on the palate. Very polished and refined.
  
  For some reason it reminds me more of a very good well aged barbaresco
  
  Lowered my score - really a Port wine. Past it’s prime.

  Great wine! Still vivid and young with many years ahead. Starts to develop secondary aromas. Sherry like with old Balsamico. Smooth with strong tannins.
