This great value house white is still hanging in there and drinking well. ADDENDUM: Fourteen days later, very viscous, but lacking in freshness and minerality. I chose to open a different bottle.

This wine is fading slightly, but still retains modest fruit (which shows more with airing and some warming), a dose of minerality and a pleasant (restrained) flavor profile on the palate. Ever so slight, very slight, bitterness in the finish. No sweetness in this bottle (unlike one prior bottle), completely dry, the way I prefer Pinot Blanc. Over decades, this has consistently been one of the most dependable house whites, in every vintage. Although the price is creeping up, this wine (in current vintages) can still be had at about 40% more (about $14 now; $10 then) than it was in 1990 - over thirty years ago. A staple. (86-88). Addendum: 26 days later, still drinking well!

Well balanced and good representation of Alsace pinot blanc. Stone fruit of apple (green = yellow > red) and pear (bosc > danjou) and citrus fruit (soft lemon, pineapple and lime) notes. Slight spice (nutmeg, sesame, thyme mostly). Moderate mouthfeel, short length as expected. Good liveliness and mineraity. Drank after dinner (scallops with spicy sausage with Uruguay albarino) but perhaps should have drank this with dinner. Drink soon.

First time I have had the Pinot Blanc from Trimbach. Crisp with a great mineral edge. Notes of green apple and a slight floral edge. I loved it! For an entry level wine this is great! Perfect pairing for fish

Meh. Servicable pinot Blanc with no small amount of residual sugar for my palate. Pleasant kiwi and starfruit notes though.
