Very dark. Pepper, blackberry iron nose. Very good concentration and only medium weight, moderate oak imprint, bright acid. White pepper and chalky tannin on the finish. Young and yummy.

Where have you been all my life? This is a fantastic expression of the grape in an elegant, delicate presentation. Black cherries, cinnamon spice, and olive tapenade on the nose. It’s medium bodied and incredibly lively, with a vibrant acid structure that really sizzles as it hits your tongue. Lush cherry and fresh blueberry flavors dominate, and the ripe tannins are quite pleasant. This is a real winner for those who like a lighter, more refined experience from Australian Shiraz.

Tasted after a two hour decant. Medium ruby in colour with somewhat restrained aromas of sweet black fruit, slightly herbal & earthy with a hint of cured meat. On the palate, medium bodied tart black fruit, blackberry/boysenberry/cassis/blueberry, well integrated oak, somewhat herbaceous & earthy with high acidity & medium soft tannins. Finish is medium to long to pepper & minerality. Definitely a cooler climate Syrah type wine compared to South Australia Shiraz.

Second bottle showed even nicer than the first, with a bit more fruit on the palate, but the previous notes remain applicable.
