Amazingly complex, yellow gold, intense, lush, layered fruit, orange zest, apricot, apples, pear, vanilla, honey, no hints of oxidation, complete shock, took everyone by surprise, a real treat

i loved this wine. im a big fan of young kistler normally giving them 92-94 and this just took it to the next level. these wines really are built to age! complexity and lovely integration, tons of fruit still there. what a treat! more please.
Brown, gold with medium viscosity in the glass. Nose of orange marmalade, tangelo, white tea, wabash apple, pineapple and honey. Medium body with the nose carrying onto the palate. Predictable focus and intensity with age delivering fruit that is smokey, mineral-laced and saucy. Mildly complex. Med-long finish. I would like to taste alongside young Kistler.

This is an experience wine. Dark gold. Deathly dehydrated urine color. German dessert wine nose. Nothing about this says chardonnay in any way shape or form. Yet this was more than enjoyable. A unique treat.

Heritage: Good apple notes; some citrus in there, but a hint of burnt caramel--and old pineapple--a hint astringent. Fun to drink.
