  • Citrus, apple and stone fruit with some hazelnut, hay and mineral accents. Plenty of toasty oak.

  • This citrusy and layered Chardonnay probably needs another 6-18 months, but it it fresh and lovely at the moment. Light yellow in color and medium in body, the wine offers aromas of lemon peel, green apple, and almond. The flavors are precise but generous, with notes of freshly squeezed lime, quince, and grapefruit, followed by a nervy finish that is energetic but not piercing. 14.2% alcohol.

  • Definitely that lime, chalky mineral/sea salt character as mentioned in the note below.

  • Ummm...WOW!!! Had a chance to taste this at the Trenton Roadhouse yesterday and was completely blown away! Always a favorite vineyard in the line up, this is Dutton on another level. Incredible on the nose, with minty, fresh sea spray notes, summer hay, lime blossom, and toasty nutty notes. Nose carries into the palate with an awesome coiled tension and expansive flavor. Flavors are bright and complex, rich without being heavy at all. Interesting note is that vintage produced ripe fruit at about .5% less ABV. 14.1% vs. 14.7% in 2017. Stellar wine. Tasted with 19 Durell and 19 McCrea. 2019 is an amazing vintage at Kistler.
