@ Che Fico Alimentari, San Francisco: This is a very drinkable, modern-style, low-cost Italian, with more tannin than acid, tasting more like cabernet than Sangiovese.

Been a little less than a year since I last tried this. Gave it 3h air again...it's still pretty young. Medium garnet color. Offers black cherry, leather, dried flowers, and hints of vanilla and anise. Creamy texture, medium-full bodied. Fresh tart black cherry and dust, with chalky tannins and a hint of anise and spice in the finish. While it hasn't really evolved that much, it's still supple and lovely.

Always a fav, started out slowly and slowly smoothed out, good fruit and smooth tannins/ acid to keep things interesting, we had a bottle of Kirkland chianti clasico reserva 2018 open and compared the 2, the Kirkland is tannic and lacks fruit, La Massa has developed nicely and it has developed a complexity that is appreciated, drank with my sausage pizza and salad, will drink again but it may be time for the next vintage, a great value.

Big, clean and full of fruit. Juicy, dark, lush. A lot of bang for the buck. Some tar, earth, and a bit of acid. A real Parker wine. Fortunately it's not overly sweet. I like it, a lot of wine for the money.

Very nice W/chalky & dusty tannins. Very flavorful wine & much better w/lasagna. Believe this wine has more time to improve.
