Arietta WIne DInner (Heaton's Vero Beach, FL): Color: Pale Straw Nose: Lemon, grapefruit, citrus Taste: Lemon, apricot, orange This was crisp upfront and yet smooth with just the right amount of acidity to tamper down the tropical notes. A lovely finish. Taste at the Arietta Wine Dinner paired with grouper cheek escoviche, coconut aromatic rice and marinated local vegetables

Light hay color. Interesting nose of straw, cat pee, lemon, melon and feint notes of pineapple and honeysuckle. Taste is similar (less the cat pee) and pretty viscous. Mostly dry. Pretty good and unique for a mostly Sauvignon Blanc blend. A little pricey.

While expensive, we really liked this wine. 87% Sauvignon blanc 13% Semillion. The Sauvignon Blanc is from Sonoma Mountain and the semillion is from Napa. Barrel fermented and aged 10 months in 34% new french oak, 34% in second use French oak and 32% stainless steel. They produced 315 cases of this vintage. It would be perfect during the hot summer months. We did a winetasting during COVID-19 and the shelter in place orders with the owners virtually through the DAC. They explained that the blend varies from vintage to vintage. It has a bright start and a big finish. Made in the Bordeaux style. Notes of orange peel, apricot and light tropical. A nice apricot finish. The owners of the winery said that the wine pairs nicely with salty foods, cheese and charcuterie. I really enjoyed it and look forward to more bottles.
