  • I will not say there is anything technically wrong with this wine, but it is not to my taste, so my review is subjective. But, I hope, not unfair. It presents initially on the nose with apples and pears, and on the palate with pears, honeydew melon and maybe a tinge of pineapple. It is has good body and ample fruit to balance the 13.5% alcohol, but not nearly enough acidity to lift it out of mediocrity. This is not a bad wine, but I cannot think of any food with which it would be an ideal companion. Intriguing, especially after being allowed to rise to room temperature (wow), but I shall not be buying more.
