A wine that flies a little under the radar in the Guigal range, 95% Marsanne and the rest Roussanne, aged for 12 months partially in new oak. Upfront and expressive on the nose with plenty of pineapple, honeysuckle, apricot and red apple notes. The palate is richly textured, medium to full bodied with plenty of ripe stone fruits and salty citrus. It does come across a touch hot and lacking in a little definition overall but this is another satisfying white from Guigal. Drink now and over the next couple of years.

Vintus Trip preceeded by 2 days in Paris; 4/14/2023-4/20/2023: 95% Marsanne, 5% Roussanne. Shows some oak to the nose. ‘A strategic wine in the portfolio, matches best with seafood.’ Crozes Blanc is much bigger than St Joseph Blanc… No malo here and it shows. ‘Strong minerality.’

White flowers and lemons jump to the front of the nose. Crisp, salty, and fresh, with a crushed stone endnote. Drink from 2022-2027.
