NOSE: expressive; smoky rubber tires; deep and perfumy.
BODY: garnet color of medium depth; medium-light bodied.
TASTE: quite polished, but a touch austere; seems to be holding back; light raspberry and cranberry fruits; light oak; medium-long finish of moderate intensity. 13.5% alc. Easily the best red of the tasting, but overpriced at $140. I was expecting more from a CdlR, and especially an ’05. Gut impression score: low 90’s.
