A great nose of smoky mineral, white mushroom and citrus. It is rich and unctuous in the mouth but also light on its feet. There's so much saline goodness and pulpy citrus fruits a plenty. It has good drive and decent cut and is long and clean. Drinking beautifully.

Good pale yellow. Scents of sea breeze, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, and powdery, musky stone - slightly lactic. Mouth impression is very dry - palate is awash in dry extract. Viscosity says 2005; acid suggests otherwise. Medium-long finish. A little lactic, but quite refreshing.

Speaks of its origins very well and would be very easy to pick in a blind line-up. All quite subtle with wet wool tones, faint caramalised onion and a milky fruit character. Light bodied and not particularly intense, and I would say this relatively well developed. Drink now to 2012. I wonder if this should have cellared better?

A bit of a let down - marred on nose and palate by heavy leesy, milky characters. Lacked the freshness expected of a true chablis. This has developed much faster than I expected. Drink up. Disappointing

(Defaix Chablis Cote De Lechet (375 ml)) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-vegetable mix (carrot & peas); lemon burst; hint of vanilla; chaulky; very clean; TASTE-Leechy; kiwi & star fruit components; there's an acidic & astringent ripe young lime component that is awkward; very clean, crisp & drinkable, but not the body & weight I expected; little light; very standard boring Chablis; AM-89/92; GV-86
(DEFAIX CHABLIS COTE DE LECHET) #4; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-light straw; NOSE-nice subtle burnt wood, little butter, little subtle green grapes; TASTE-nice focused mid-palate, little green pepper aspect, less lush than I expected; underwhelming, little Grey Poupon on the finish, solid, but too light for me; AM-91; GV-88

Still bright, lively. Plenty of acid and minerals, a hint of apricot and citrus. Hard to believe it is 14 years old
