  This bottle was drinking very nicely with a beach shrimp boil. Perfect timing and a great balance of mineral, acidity, fruit, and salinity.

  Savory mineral driven nose of sea spray, slate, white flowers, and tart green apple. Equally as savory on the palate with lean orchard fruit behind almond butter, toasted oak, and saline minerality. A bit of dried green herbs emerges on the finish.   Sunday Night Wines at Bob's (Washington, DC): straw color, almost green in the glass. the nose is a rush of sea salt, lemons and slate. the palate has great acid but maintains a creamy mouthfeel. grapefruit, lime and lemon butter flavors blend well with oyster shell and a hint of nuttiness. i've had other vintages of this wine and liked them a lot. this seems to always be an excellent chablis for $25. it paired very well with a quinoa salad with a lime dressing, and also cut wonderfully through salmon.
