Purple core, going to garnet, with a clear rim. You can definitely smell the merlot - lots of powdery blueberry/plum - with cherry, dusty gravel, and cigar box. If I smelled this blind, I would guess some sort of non-Napa, Cali BDX blend. Palate, though still fruit forward, is immediately recognizable as Spanish - tart cherry, cigar box, cumin, coriander, some chocolate. A bit on the tart side, but good, this should easily go for 10+ years.

Great value. Mostly Tempranillo, with bit of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Harmonious and well balanced with rich palete and well inegrated delicate tannins.

P: Dry, medium(+) acid, high alcohol, high tannins, full body, pronounced intense flavors of black cherry, dried fruits, cedar, smoke, cinnamon, toast, nutmeg, vanilla, earth, baked plum, blackberry, violet, cocoa, tar, mineral, chalk, rocks. The wine has a long finish.
Very Good; lot of fruit to match the high alcohol
Suitable for Bottle Aging

Dark red color with a purple rim. Blackberry, oak and chocolate. Quite high on alcohol. Relatively light wine compared to the Reserva 2018. Smooth and nice. Good value.

My favorite of the wines tasted tonight in our WSG course. Very red fruited, notes of coffee licorice and spice. Plenty of complexity. This had amazing synergies with most of the foods we tried: Parmesan, dill, licorice, chipotle, cloves. All made the wine better too except chocolate which left a bitter finish for us.
